People at Player's – history talk

Daniel O'Neill will give a talk on the history of the tobacco manufacturer John Player & Sons and its Horizon factory. The factory is due to close at the end of May 2016.

A new website will look at working life at the company: http://peopleatplayers.omeka.net. Using oral history interviews and photographs, the site records and heralds an important part of Nottingham's industrial and social history.

The talk takes place on Tuesday 24 May, 2-4pm, Performing Arts Studio, Nottingham Lakeside Arts.
