Dr Onni Gust has contributed to the March 2024 edition of Gender and History.
Their article, entitled 'Of Mermaids and Monsters: transgender history and the boundaries of the human in eighteenth- and early-nineteenth-century Britain', explores the concept of ‘the monstrous’ in Britain in the eighteenth and nineteenth century, and argues that "an alignment with the monster might enable trans historians to ally themselves with a vision of the future that goes beyond anthropocentrism."
