History graduate wins 'Best Undergraduate Achievement in Maritime History'

Former student, Sam Le Pard, (who graduated in summer 2011), has been awarded a major prize from the British Commission for Maritime History for his 3rd year Undergraduate History Dissertation. The Dissertation was supervised by the Department’s environmental historian Dr Rob Lambert, and was on ‘the environmental history of Orford Ness in Suffolk over the twentieth century’. The prize awarded was ‘Best Undergraduate Achievement in Maritime History’.
