History academic works on BBC documentary

Dr Rob Lambert of the Department of History worked as academic consultant to a BBC NHU documentary Cairngorms: A Year in the Wild which will be broadcast on Friday 10 August 2012 on BBC2 at 7pm. It looks at a year in these Scottish mountains through the eyes of individuals who live and work in this wild place: a mountain guide, an artist, a ghillie, a gamekeeper and a nature writer. It was made as part of the BBCs Wild Britannia series alongside similar documentaries on Snowdonia and the New Forest.

Rob will be attending the annual British Birdwatching Fair at Rutland Water in August, where he will give public lectures on the Main Events stage alongside University of Nottingham Honorary Professor and wildlife TV producer Stephen Moss.  Rob will also take part again in the ‘Celebrity Wild Brain of Britain’ quiz up against Mike Dilger, University of Nottingham alumnus (Botany, 1988) and wildlife TV presenter from The One Show.
