Students of Nottingham University School of History attended a trip to the London East End on 21st February. This was organised as part of the module "The History of a Relation: Jews in Modern Europe" (Year 3 Dr. K. Adler's Special subject). The trip consisted on a tour to the London's East End guided by David Rosenberg (East End Walks) and aimed to inform about the Jewish immigration from the Russian Empire in the 1880's, the dire economic and working conditions and the difficult process of integration of newly arrived into the British society.
Luckily too, it was a lovely sunny day and the experience was informative and enjoyable for all participants.
