Dr Rob Lambert interviewed live on China Central Television 'World Insight'

On 8 June 2016, The University of Nottingham environmental historian & ecotourism academic, Dr Rob Lambert, was interviewed about tigers live on ‘World Insight’ a news and current affairs programme produced by China Central Television (CCTV) in Beijing.

Whilst the focus of the half hour conversation with the presenter Ms. Tian Wei was the recent Tiger Temple scandal in Thailand, Dr Lambert was able to talk more widely about big cat issues in the twenty-first century: tiger tourism, tiger trafficking, tiger conservation, tiger reserves and ongoing people-tiger conflicts. ‘World Insight’ seeks to offer balanced and critical perspectives on current affairs to a global English-speaking audience. It is said to regularly reach 7m viewers, but the free-to-air satellite signal can actually be received by more than 85m people in over 100 countries.
