You can now find out more about Florence Nightingale in a joint research project between University of Nottingham School of Health Sciences and University of Nottingham School of Humanities.
Led by Professor Paul Crawford of the University’s School of Health Sciences in collaboration with Dr Anna Greenwood in the Department of History, this new site is for 'Florence Nightingale Comes Home for 2020', a £830,000 research project funded by the Arts and Humanities Research Council (AHRC).
It also offers unique resourses that give an insight into the life of Florence Nightingale such as the virtual tour of Lea Hurst, Nightingales Derbyshire Home as well as car and walking tours of key sites linked to Nightingale around Derbyshire.
This project is set to run until 2020 and as part of it, there will be a trio of workshops. The first of these workshops is on the 11 January 2019, 'Locating Health: Historical Perspectives on Human Care 1800-1948' and is currently issuing a call for papers.
