The film, entitled 'Blood Sugar' was made earlier this year with the Slave Trade Legacies group about Newstead Abbey's slavery connections.
It is based on a poem by Michelle ‘Mother’ Hubbard, made in partnership with Nottingham University, and produced by Shawn Naphtali Sobers.
The nomination is for the Arts and Humanities Research Council (AHRC) Film Awards and a ceremony will be held this November in London.
The project is coordinated by Lisa Robinson, Helen Bates and Dr Susanne Seymour (Deputy Director ISOS).
