Dr Joseph Da Costa wins Leverhulme fellowship

Dr Joe Da Costa, in the Department of History, has been awarded a Leverhulme early career research fellowship, which he will hold at University of Oxford.

Joe’s project will investigate the circulation of aspects of West African and North African imperial thought in the early modern Iberian empires.

"Joe has made a great contribution to our department in the short time that he has been with us. We hope that we will be able to sustain and build our relationship with him in the coming years." - Professor Sarah Badcock, Department of History

These fellowships are for early career researchers, with a research record but who have not yet held a full-time permanent academic post, to undertake a significant piece of publishable work. Find out more about Leverhulme Early Career Fellowships.
