A structured, interactive, philosophical discussion on the themes of addiction and freedom. What is addiction? Is it a neurobiological disease of compulsion, as many scientists and other thinkers suppose? Does addiction involve a lack of freedom? What is freedom anyway? We will consider existing philosophical ideas, and explore new ideas together in conversation. Facilitated by Craig French of the Department of Philosophy, together with our friends at Middle Street Resource Centre.
All are welcome and refreshments provided
