Inaugural Innovation Awards

The University of Nottingham's inaugural Innovation Awards took place on the 2 June. Aiming to showcase the world leading research taking place at the university on campuses around the world, with an emphasis on knowledge exchange. With awards for plants which can fix nitrogen and comedy courses for individuals with addiction problems and mental health issues, the night highlighted the breadth and diversity of research across the university. The department of philosophy's own Dr Jonathan Tallant won a Knowledge Exchange award for Business Engagement using principles of philosophy to help a company develop new software which is now valued at £4.5m.
