British Academy Mid-Career Fellowship for Holger Zellentin

The British Academy has awarded Dr Holger Zellentin a Mid-Career Fellowship for 2016. This highly prestigious grant secures funding for Dr Zellentin’s work on Qur’anic Studies. The project will aim to synthesize what historical evidence the Qur’an contains about the Jews and Christians of its time, and how our knowledge of Judaism and Christianity may in turn help us to understand the Qur’an.

The fellowship also provides funding for various public engagement projects and a lecture series hosted by the University of Nottingham.
