Alison Milbank and Jem Bloomfield appear on BBC debate

Dr Alison Milbank from the Department of Theology and Religious Studies, and Dr Jem Bloomfield from the School of English appeared on the BBC's The Big Questions.

In honour of the 400th anniversary of William Shakespeare's death, Nicky Campbell presented the specially recorded episode asking "Is there more truth in Shakespeare than the Bible?"

Dr Milbank and Dr Bloomfield were also joined by Prof Stanley Wells, the world's leading Shakespeare scholar; the rapper Akala, who founded the hip-hop Shakespeare company; writer and critic Richard Denton, who produced Shakespeare Uncovered; writer and critic Andrew Dickson; Dr Rebecca Emmett (York University); Rev Dr Paul Edmondson (The Shakespeare Institute); and Dr Kevin Killeen (York University).
