Students in Classrooms scheme

Could you be an educational role model within a local school in Nottinghamshire?

The Widening Participation and Outreach team are looking for students who can encourage young people to achieve more. This is an exciting opportunity to join our Students in Classrooms scheme, in partnership with Nottingham Trent University.

Applications are now open, with placements starting in January 2022 (subject to COVID-19 restrictions).

The scheme involves:

  • Working with young people
  • Gaining work experience in a classroom setting, working 1-2-1 with pupils and in small groups
  • 10 placement days from January to April in a local school
  • 5 – 7 hours per week
  • Time is flexible to fit around your studies, but weekly attendance is preferred
  • Placements available in primary and secondary schools
  • Paid work opportunity

Further information about the roles and how to apply is available at nottingham.ac.uk/studentsinclassrooms
