As one of our core aims is to address the challenges faced by start-up and scale up ventures in UK universities, we partnered up with Ingenuity to create an ‘INFINITY Champion Competition’ as part of Ingenuity’s national programme. Three prize winners were awarded for the most innovative and inclusive FinTech ideas at the awards ceremony of the Ingenuity Impact Showcase on Thursday 13th June 2024. Croptunity, Data Union and IV4EV were awarded with 1 x £3,000 and 2 x £1,000 in prize funding for their impactful ideas.
The winners were selected with help from the fantastic INFINITY judging panel including the INFINITY co-founder Meryem Duygun (INFINITY, University of Nottingham), Beth Kelly (Oakbrook Finance), Claire Stripp (Browne Jacobson), Ed Gillman (University of Nottingham) and Ellie Scriven (INFININTY, University of Nottingham).
The Ingenuity Programme is a national innovation programme that directly addresses the UK’s major social, health and environmental challenges through the creation of impactful new start-ups. Ingenuity focuses on 3 key challenge themes: building stronger communities, improving health and tackling climate change.
The winners have been invited to participate in our Fintech Commercialisation Leadership Academy (FinCLA), where they are taking part in our training programme alongside academics and researchers from partner universities.
