Description

The Law and Tech Discussion Group is delighted to welcome Dr Jennifer Cobbe, Assistant Professor in Law and Technology at the University of Cambridge and Fellow of Queens' College Cambridge on Thursday 23 November at 2pm for a seminar on:

Law and Governance in AI Supply Chains

Digital technologies – including AI systems – now often work through modular components integrated into complex supply chains of interconnected systems and actors, who together produce outcomes and functionalities. These supply chains are key infrastructures in the political economy of informational capitalism and a primary means by which certain technology companies concentrate power, enclose social and economic life, and extract value. This talk will explore the importance of AI supply chains, identify some of the governance issues they present, and discuss some future directions for law and regulation

Talk & discussion: 2-3pm

Networking with tea, coffee and scones: 3-4pm

This event will be held in hybrid format in Room A02 Highfields House, University Park Campus. Please register whether you are attending in person or online to receive the link to join and for catering purposes.
