LLB Law student Jamaal Jackson awarded scholarship

LLB Law student Jamaal Jackson was nominated by the University of Nottingham for the Freshfields Stephen Lawrence Scholarship Scheme and was awarded a 2017 scholarship.

The scheme was launched by Freshfields in 2013 with support from Baroness Lawrence and aims to address the disproportionate under-representation of black and black mixed-race men from less privileged backgrounds in large commercial law firms. The scheme offers an excellent opportunity for professional development and benefits include a 15-month development programme, mentoring, commercial familiarisation and an alternative route to an interview for a training contract with Freshfields.
