A Quality of Life, Well-being and Innovation seminar was organised by the Chilean Society of the University of Nottingham and ChileGlobal SeminarsUK. This event is the first one of its type organised at the University of Nottingham, and it received the support of the Associate Pro Vice Chancellor for Global Engagement (Americas) and the School of Law of the University of Nottingham.
Daniela Mendez, PhD candidate in the School of Law and President of the Chilean Society of the University of Nottingham, was involved in the organisation of the seminar. It was held on Friday 6 October 2017 on University Park Campus.
Chilean speakers from all over the UK presented in this seminar, on issues such as innovation and technology, arts and music, social policy, education and inequalities. The seminar encouraged an interesting discussion between the speakers and the audience, composed not only by Chilean researchers, but also by other international researchers interested in Chilean affairs, on how the research carried out by Chilean researchers across the UK could help to improve and rethink quality of life and well-being in Chile in all their dimensions.
