Professor Dirk van Zyl Smit participates in the annual conference of the Cambridge Prison Research Group

On 18 October Professor Dirk van Zyl Smit, the Professor of Comparative and International Penal Law and the Head of the School of Law gave a paper on 'The relationship between research and policy: an international perspective' to the annual conference of Cambridge Prison Group.

This annual meeting brings together an invited group of leading prison researchers, not only United Kingdom but also from several other countries. The overall them this year was 'Values, methods and quality in prisons research: developing deep structures of practice'.
