Nottingham students have published a report on migration law, in collaboration with the Council of Europe.
The project was carried out by the European Law Students' Association (ELSA), as part of their International Legal Research Group on Migration Law.
The Council of Europe provided ELSA with a research framework of 12 questions that national member and observer groups in the network were invited to investigate in the context of their respective national legislation.
Alumna Jessica Allen, BA Law with French and French Law, was National Coordinator and Linguistic Editor for the report, while Dr Daria Davitti acted as Academic Supervisor.
Several students (and now alumni) contributed as researchers, specifically:
- Megan Jameson, LLB Law
- Claire-Marie Rothéa, LLM International Law
- Jennifer Pampolina, LLM International Public Law
- Agata Daszko, BA Law with German and German Law (now in her third year)
- Li Min Ong, LLB Law (now in her second year)
The report focuses on integration, rights (such as healthcare, education, and political participation), and funding opportunities within countries through domestic and EU programmes. The report was presented at the Council of Europe and is also available on its ELSA's website.
