Nottingham Talks was a citizen assembly event held on Saturday 21 April 2018. Its aim was to reclaim the public debate on immigration in the UK, and to empower the local community to start a better conversation about UK immigration - a debate which regardless of opinion - was conducted in a manner which is open, informed and humanised in the post-Brexit period. While on reflection we have realised that we failed to create a neutral debate on the day, we do wish to make sure that we have succeeded in creating an informed conversation on immigration.
