Dr Orsolya Toth speaks at international arbitration conference in London

Dr Orsolya Toth was a speaker at CDR magazine's Spring Arbitration Symposium held in London on 26 April 2018. The event addressed the latest developments in the field before a wide audience of lawyers from many jurisdictions.

Dr Toth spoke about the implications of the landmark decision of the Court of Justice of the European Union in the Slovakia v Achmea case holding that dispute resolution clauses in intra-EU bilateral investment treaties are contrary to EU law.

She shared a panel with arbitration experts who addressed the EU's move towards a multilateral investment court, the fair and equitable treatment standard, and the implications of Brexit.
