Dr Georgopoulos was interviewed by the Greek Broadcasting Corporation about the Miller2/Cherry Judgment of the UK Supreme Court.
Dr Georgopoulos expressed his skepticism about some parts of the Judgment and focused on the implications that such a strict judicial review will have on the UK Constitutional arrangements. He believes that the Court could have protected the dual Constitutional role of Parliament by ruling the matter justiciable but without finding it unlawful. Instead the Court engaged in a circular if not tautological argument which might prove problematic in the not so distant future. Dr Georgopoulos' views are contained in a new article of the UK Constitutional Law Association blog.
