Professor Peter Cartwright speaks at Vulnerability Across Disciplines Conference

On 7 October 2021, Professor Peter Cartwright of the School of Law and the Commercial Law Centre (UNCLC) spoke at a two day (online) conference on Vulnerability Across Disciplines (#VulnerabilityConf2021). The Conference was organised by the University of Newcastle upon Tyne with the support of the Society of Legal Scholars and attracted nearly 200 delegates from a range of academic disciplines, as well as from charities, industry and regulatory organisations.

Peter’s paper was entitled “Virtual Coercion and Video Gaming: Protecting Vulnerable Consumers in Immersive Technologies” and draw on research he is conducting with Professor Richard Hyde on Exploitative Technologies and Consumer Protection.
