Professor Peter Cartwright delivers research seminar on Immersive Technologies and Consumer Protection

On 2 May 2023 Peter Cartwright delivered a research seminar at the Centre for Commercial Law and Financial Regulation (CCLFR) at the University of Reading. The seminar was entitled “Consumers, Immersion and Unfair Practices” and was based around work that Peter has been conducting with Professor Richard Hyde on immersive technologies and consumer protection. The seminar focused particularly on the video gaming sector and considered whether unfair commercial practices law might be used to address some of the concerns identified.
