Profe Derclaye 092024
On 19 September 2024, Professor Estelle Derclaye was invited to talk about if, and if so, how the UK copyright law can still influence Canadian copyright law post-Brexit. The conference took place in person in Ottawa. She gave her presentation online in a panel chaired by Prof. Ysolde Gendreau (Univ. Montreal) before an audience of around 100 people. The other speakers were Prof. Marketa Trimble (Univ. Nevada) who spoke about the influence of US law and Axel Nordeman (practitioner and visiting professor at Univ. Konstanz) who presented the influence of EU law. A Q&A session ensued.
