Professor Paul Torremans at the Academy of Athens

On 16 April 2024, Professor Paul Torremans had the privilege and honour to deliver a paper on 'Equitable remuneration for streaming' at the Academy of Athens. In what is seen as the most beautiful neoclassic building worldwide, he participated in a seminar on 'Challenging Issues in Copyright and Collective Managment', chaired by Prof Em Michalis Stathopoulos, member of the academy, with His Excellency Christos Dimas, Deputy Minister of Culture, Prof Irini Stamatoudi of the University of Nicosia and Mr Gadi Oron, Director General of CISAC.
