PhD Student in Law,
Tobias is a doctoral researcher at the School of Law; focusing on how modern technology impacts interhuman communication and individual thought. His supervisors are Dr Nicholas Hatzis, Dr Or Bassok and Dr Nicholas Gervassis.
Tobias obtained a bachelor's degree in Law (LLB) from the University of Manchester in 2013, before completing the Legal Practice Course (LPC) in 2015 and qualifying as a solicitor of England and Wales in 2017. Tobias specialized in Contentious Litigation and Dispute Resolution before transitioning into human rights. In 2021 Tobias completed a masters degree (LLM) with distinction in Public International Law at the University of Amsterdam. Following his masters degree, Tobias worked with refugees in Cairo for a year; providing pro-bono legal assistance for asylum applications, before returning to the UK to complete a PhD in 2022.
