We're very excited at LiPP as our wonderful Consultant and Research Fellow, Dr Spencer Hazel has been successfully awarded the Media Fellowship by the British Science Association. Having offered him a four week placement of hands-on experience writing articles under the mentorship and guidance of professional journalists at The Times newspaper, we are delighted to see them being published!
Undertaking research into the various different areas and topics of the sciences, so far, two of Spencer's articles have hit the columns. The first article about stem cell research called 'Cloned pets may be nothing like the original, Dolly scientist warns' was published on Tuesday 5th July, making it on page 3. The second article published on Wednesday 6th July (today) can be found on page 19 about Cern and theoretical physics. Look out for the title 'Cern seeks your help to make next discovery'. Keep your eyes peeled. There are more to follow!
Congratulations Spencer. Looking forward to reading some more great work - keep them coming!
