School E-Learning Workshops

This is a list of forthcoming e-learning workshops for staff within the School of Nursing, Midwifery & Physiotherapy. To attend any of these workshops, please contact Lydia Jones (ext 30793) to book a space. Spaces on some workshops may be limited, and are offered on a first-come-first-served basis, so book early to avoid disappointment :o)

Chris Palmer, the e-mentor for the Derby Centre, will be holding a podcasting workshop entitled "Is podcasting the future in Nurse Education?" (workshop flyer, PDF) specifically for Derby staff on Wednesday 25th February, Room6, Derby Centre. The workshop will cover the following topics:

Basic Podcasting.
Making A sound Recording.
Conversion of PowerPoint presentation and the addition of sound.
Editing Sound recordings.
Loading and dissemination of your podcast.
Podcasts and the law a consideration of copyright.

Using WebCT for Teaching

The table below lists forthcoming School WebCT workshops at the various teaching Centres. Staff at a Centre where multiple events are being held can go to any or all of them. Workshops are aimed specifically at staff in the School and run by School e-mentors. These workshops are complementary to the more general introductory and advanced WebCT courses run by SEDU on the University Park Campus.
