Einsteinium

Edwin Starr was a soul legend born in Nashville Tennessee. He produced a string of hits in the 70’s, the most famous being ‘War’..(huh, what is it good for, absolutely nothing!)

He enjoyed working in the UK and found a large following on the Northern soul circuit. He settled in Chilwell in Nottingham until his death in 2003. He is one of the icons featured in a Beeston street art tribute.

This was discovered in the debris of a hydrogen bomb explosion.

Contrary to its name this element has no connection to Einstein, it just followed a trend at the time to name the elements after famous scientists.

It is a radioactive metal.
