Nottingham element: Nottingham Dogs
Nottingham Greyhound Stadium, or Nottingham Dogs as it is known, is the home of greyhound racing in the East Midlands.
The Stadium is situated just two miles from the City Centre at Colwick Park,in the same complex as the horse racecourse.
Nottingham Greyhound Stadium is proud to be associated with The Greyhound Trust, a national charity that helps to find homes for former racing greyhounds.
Scientific element: Neodymium
The most important use for neodymium is in an alloy with iron and boron to make very strong permanent magnets. This discovery, in 1983, made it possible to miniaturise many electronic devices, including mobile phones, microphones, loudspeakers and electronic musical instruments.
