The University of Nottingham is delighted to offer six Commonwealth Shared Scholarships, in partnership with the Commonwealth Scholarship Commission in the UK. These scholarships are co-funded by the UK Government's Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO) and the University of Nottingham.
Eligibility
To apply for this scholarship, you must:
- Be a citizen of or have been granted refugee status by an eligible Commonwealth country.
- Be permanently resident in an eligible Commonwealth country (see below).
- Be available to start your academic studies in the UK by the start of the academic year in September 2025.
- Meet the entry requirements for the specific course, as detailed on our website.
- Have made a complete academic application to study for one of the approved courses at the University of Nottingham by the Commonwealth Shared Scholarship Application deadline (please note, only students with offers for the relevant degree course can be shortlisted).
- Not have studied or worked for more than one (academic) year or more in a high-income country.
- Be unable to afford to study in the UK without this scholarship.
You must also ensure that you have an offer to study at the University of Nottingham on a relevant course. Please ensure that you make your academic application as early as possible to ensure there is time for your academic application to be considered, As a guide, we recommend that you allow at least 6 weeks for your academic application to be considered.
