Matthew Boyd receives a Lord Dearing Award

Congratulations to Dr Matthew Boyd who has been awarded a Lord Dearing Award in Teaching & Learning.  Our Head of School, Professor Saul Tendler said 'This is a huge compliment and very well deserved'.

The Lord Dearing Award Scheme has, since 1999, recognised the outstanding achievements of University of Nottingham staff in enhancing the student learning experience. Since its inception, over 100 members of staff, from a range of different staff groups have received an award, many of whom have been nominated by the students they teach and support. A Lord Dearing Award is highly valued within the University and acknowledges the world-class input of staff in creating a student learning environment which is, on the one hand, supportive and nurturing, but on the other, is challenging, creative and innovative.
