Winners of the Post-doctoral Research Fellow RESEARCH competition

The School congratulates Dr Vladimir Korolkov  and Dr Francisco Fernández Trillo  of the School of Pharmacy, recent winners of the Schools Post-Doctoral Research Fellow Research Competition. This competition run by the School Research Committee awarded two prizes of up to £1,000 each. The awards are designed to give the opportunity to allow our researchers to explore innovative ideas covering any aspect of research within the School.

Dr Korolkov of the Laboratory of Biophysics and Surface Analysis  will work on novel chemical modification of atomic force microscopy probes for improved high resolution imaging of biological molecules (peptides, DNA/RNA etc). Dr Fernández Trillo of the Division of Drug Delivery and Tissue Engineering  will work on the synthesis of amphiphiles for the preparation of artificial vesicles for potential applications in drug delivery, nano-science, supramolecular chemistry, and synthetic biology
