The UCL School of Pharmacy, the University of Nottingham and the London School of Economics and Political Science have published an interim report on their evaluation of Release Two of the Electronic Prescription Service (EPS), commissioned by the Connecting for Health Evaluation Programme.
The report only covers the very early stages of the roll-out of the EPS programme with researchers studying the experiences of seven pairs of community pharmacies and GP practices that were participating in the early testing of the system.
The evaluation is due to finish at the end of 2012, with a final report expected in January 2013.
