New Lecturer in Pharmacokinetics

Dr Pavel Gershkovich  has been appointed to a position of Lecturer in Pharmacokinetics in the Division of Medicinal Chemistry and Structural Biology, School of Pharmacy from April 2012.

Pavel has obtained his BScPharm, MSc (Clinical Pharmacy) and PhD (Pharmaceutical Sciences) in The Hebrew University of Jerusalem, Israel. He then spent 5 years in The University of British Columbia, Vancouver, Canada – first as Postdoctoral Fellow and then as Research Associate.

Pavel has expertise in the fields of Biopharmaceutics, Pharmacokinetics, Pharmacodynamics and Bioanalytical Techniques. His research interests include absorption and disposition of lipophilic compounds, effects of disease states on pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics, effect of food on the intestinal absorption of drugs, neglected global diseases and translational pharmaceutical research.
