The group at the Angers Castle
Dr.Cynthia Bosquillon accompanied 21 second, third and fourth year MPharm students in a visit to the Faculty of Pharmacy of the University of Angers, France, on 14th-18th of April. This was the “return trip” of a student exchange that was initiated in November 2012 when pharmacy students from Angers visited our School.
The group had a busy week with visits to the teaching labs and the botanical garden of the Faculty, the pharmacy and the clinical biology lab of the University Hospital, different community pharmacies as well as a drug distributor. Cultural activities included a guided tour of Angers Castle and the Cointreau (an orange-flavour liqueur) production site. The group was also invited by the Angers Council for a reception in a medieval hospital converted into a contemporary tapestry museum.
Everyone had a fantastic time in Angers thanks to the range of exciting activities prepared by our hosts, their very warm welcome and none the least, a beautiful weather.
Nottingham students are now looking forward to welcoming their French peers in our School in 2015
