Cameron Alexander at the Royal Society of Chemistry awards symposium

The Royal Society of Chemistry held an awards symposium last week at Warwick, during which Professor Karen Wooley (Texas A&M University) received an RSC Centenary Prize and Professor Cameron Alexander was awarded the Macro Group UK Medal 2015.

The Macro Group UK Medal is awarded to a UK-based scientist who has made a significant and substantial contribution to the development of polymer science through his/her scientific achievements and/or services to the UK polymer science community.

The image shows Cameron with Karen Wooley, Professor Neil Cameron (Monash and Warwick Universities), Francisco Fernandez-Trillo (Birmingham) and Gemma-Louise Davies (Warwick).  Francisco (Paco)  used to work here in the Pharmacy School from 2009-2013 and Cameron says it was great to see him giving a lecture and getting recognition for his work - some of which was done during his time in Nottingham.
