Cordycepin, a novel compound for treating osteoarthritic pain - first prize for presentation.

 

Sadaf Ashraf, a postdoctoral researcher in the School of Pharmacy who is working with Associate Professor Cornelia de Moor, has been awarded the first prize for her oral presentation at the British Pain Society Annual Scientific Meeting 2017 https://www.britishpainsociety.org/2017-asm-birmingham/

Sadaf’s abstract entitled Cordycepin, a novel compound for treating osteoarthritic pain was selected as one of the five Non-Trainee oral presentations at the Meeting and she was awarded the first prize for giving the best oral presentation.  Sadaf is working on an Arthritis Research UK (ARUK) funded project in collaboration with ARUK Pain Centre Nottingham.
