Sadaf Ashraf was awarded the best poster prize at the Bone Research Society Annual Meeting in Bristol, UK for her work which was entitled ' Cordycepin reduces established bone changes and pain in two animal models of osteoarthritis.'
Sadaf, a postdoctoral researcher in the School of Pharmacy is working with Associate Professor Cornelia de Moor on a Arthritis Research UK funded project exploring the potential of using the fungal extract cordycepin as a therapy for arthritis.
