Wonder

University of Nottingham community Event 'Wonder' - researchers from the Schools of Pharmacy, Chemistry, Medicine & Health Sciences, Life Sciences and Engineering at the university delivered the Programme Grant activities

On Saturday 17 June, the EPSRC (Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council) Programme Grant in Next Generation Biomaterials Discovery team ran activities at the University of Nottingham community event, Wonder. The activity was a quest for children to become a detective and complete challenges to find the right material for medical devices, targeted drug delivery or regenerative medicine. On their quest, the children touched artificial organs, threw ‘drugs’ at targets and got to splat bacteria to identify the ideal material.

Researchers from the School of Pharmacy, Chemistry, Medicine & Health Sciences, Life Sciences and Engineering at the University of Nottingham delivered the Programme Grant activities from 11am-5pm on University Park Campus. The Wonder event was free for all attendees and over 350 people took part in our Programme Grant activity.
