Andrew Hook, a Senior Research Fellow in the School of Pharmacy, was awarded the Vickerman Prize on 3 January 2018. This prize is presented to researchers whose work is anticipated to have a major impact in the field of surface analysis. It is intended as a recognition of high quality independent research at an early career stage. This occurred at the UKSAF Winter meeting where he gave an invited talk entitled 'Surface analysis and biomaterials discovery'
