The Pharmacy Patient Café project is supported by the University of Nottingham Cascade funding programme. The aim is to improve person-centered care by giving pharmacy students counselling practice and opportunities to interact with patients.
This autumn we are launching the 'virtual' Patient Café, where patients will join students on video calls, instead of attending in person. The School of Pharmacy is planning to run the Patient Café as face to face sessions in the future but due to the current COVID-19 restrictions they are using an online system.
The Patient Cafés are student-led but supported by dedicated team of academic and support staff who are available to answer questions and provide technical support.
You can become involved in the Patient Café if you have a health condition which is treated with medication.
If you are willing to speak to a small group of students about your medication, how your condition affects you day to day and your experience of healthcare, please visit the project's website for further details and how to regiser your interest.
