Biography
Since completing my MPharm degree at the University of Nottingham in 2017, I have been employed as a hospital pharmacist by Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust across a variety of roles. My pre-registration (training) year was followed by completion of the residency program, where I rotated through numerous specialties, worked as part of the out-of-hours on-call team and contributed to the day-to-day running of the residency as senior-resi in my final year.
Since then, I have completed my PG Dip in clinical pharmacy at De Montfort University, including the Independent Prescribing course, registering as a PIP in 2021. I used those skills daily as a senior pharmacist in acute medicine at the Queen's Medical Centre and will continue to do so in my current split post here at the university.
I joined the University of Nottingham in Spring 2023 as a Teacher Practitioner and work here on Mondays and Tuesdays, with the majority of my teaching taking place as part of the cardiovascular and prescribing and clinical practice modules.
From Wednesdays-Fridays I continue to work at QMC as a senior clinical pharmacist in stroke medicine.
