Biography
I graduated from the University of Nottingham with an MPharm (Hons) and completed my pre-registration training at Nottingham City Hospital. Following registration, I moved into a community pharmacy role, initially as a relief pharmacist, then progressing into branch management.
I practised as a community pharmacist for 15 years, gaining a broad experience of different pharmacy settings, patient needs and staff training and development. I implemented several pharmacy initiatives during this time including the addition of a robotic dispensing system in two branches and supporting the redesign of dispensaries.
In 2017 I began working as a Professional Practice Consultant at the University of Nottingham, alongside my community pharmacy role, supporting undergraduate students to develop their pharmacy practice skills.
In early 2019 I left my community pharmacy role to work briefly for a pharmacy training company before joining the University full-time to study for a PhD, alongside my pharmacy practice teaching. In January 2022 I was appointed to my current role of Assistant Professor in Pharmacy Practice.
