Biography
Silvia obtained her B.Sc. in Biotechnology at the University of Pisa and a joint M.Sc. in Molecular biotechnology at the University of Pisa and Sant'Anna School of Advanced Studies, with a thesis on molecular modeling. She then moved to Politecnico di Milano, where she completed her Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering, with an interdisciplinary project between the Mechanical and Chemical Engineering departments. During her Ph.D., she mainly focused on polymer synthesis and process monitoring for 3D bioprinting applications.
