The 2023 Being Human Festival programme has landed! It's back with another brilliant line-up of over 220 free events taking place across the UK, between 9 and 18 November.
Being Human is a nationwide celebration of the humanities, showcasing the ways in which research in subjects such as languages, philosophy, literature, history, and classics enrich, inspire and shape our everyday lives. Whether you're interested in cooking up historic recipes, singing for wellbeing, or creative writing, there's something for everyone in this year's festival programme, from walks and tours to performances and workshops.
Festival events will be popping up in 52 towns and cities across the UK, bringing the latest humanities research to life in our museums and galleries, community centres and libraries, pubs and cafes, parks and high streets. All events are completely free, and are led directly by researchers. Browse the programme by following the link below and get booking!
University of Nottingham is delighted to be one of this year's five flagship Hub programmes, bringing together a range of perspectives that connect research to the histories, cultures and communities of our area.
