Bio: Dr Hafez Abdo's research looks at the impacts of climate change regulations, and thus net zero legislations, on the oil and gas industry in terms of assets' write down and impairments. He also examines the role of the oil and gas industry in supporting the transition to net zero and mitigating climate change risks.  

Hafez has worked with a number of policy partners, incouding an ongoing project with Nottingham City Council. His work has been funded by the British Academy, acknowledging the importance and relevance of his research.
