Bio: Dr Simon Bishop's research focuses on policy, organisation, management and work in healthcare, and he has undertaken a number of studies on new forms of health organisation and the way organisational change impacts on peoples jobs and work. He is interested in issues of environmental sustainability in healthcare and was involved in leading the 2022 symposium on Sustainability in Health and Healthcare funded by the Foundation for the Sociology of Health and Illness.
Simon conoducts applied research and he regularly works closely with health provider, commissioning and policy organisations, including NHS England. He is interested in undertaking further work on sustainability in healthcare, including on the implementation of sustainable innovations into everyday healthcare practice.
